The Tracks of Art Video & Photos

For the Tracks of Art this past May, I wore a couple of different hats. Not only did my mini-documentaries about Holly Springs make their offline debut, but I also photographed the event to further promote the arts in Holly Springs. As someone told me, the work was very "meta".

And, I took things one step further by putting together a slideshow of the photos from the Tracks of Art. Check it out below! The music is an original song from one of the musicians who performed at the event, Merit Koch. You can hear more of her music at: http://www.meritkoch.com

Special thanks to the Holly Springs Depot for putting together such a fabulous event, and for promoting the arts! As usual, it was a blast to participate, and photograph!

Below are a handful of photos from the event, including a glimpse at the coverage from the South Reporter newspaper in Holly Springs. We had a great full-color photo spread!

Pics from the Tracks of Art Premiere

Thanks everyone for coming out to the Tracks of Art in May! The premiere of my documentaries at was an incredible event! It was the first time I've gotten to hear feedback about my work from an audience, and see their level of engagement in the stories. I'm very happy to report that the room was full throughout the day, and audiences stuck around to see all four video stories!

Fingers crossed, I think we've succeeded in raising the profile of Holly Springs, and the Holly Springs Depot! Here's a few photos of our theater room, plus the vinyl shirt Beckey Kemp created for the event.

In Progress at the MCH Museum

Coming soon! My video about the Marshall County Historical Museum and director, Merideth Gray, is almost complete! This will be the fourth video in my series about Holly Springs, and it has, by far, been the most technically challenging. I'm really excited to share it! Until then, here's a few still photos from the video.

"The Depot" on Adobe Slate

The Depot Following the completion of "The Train Depot" video, I realized I also wanted to showcase more of the photos and stills from the shoot at the Depot in Holly Springs. Adobe Slate is perfect for that, and yes, I'm still in love with this iPad app. So, here we go, a simple multimedia article put together on "The Depot", via Adobe Slate.
